‘Leave Nevada Beautiful’ is our network of Burner-friendly authorized trash, recycling, and RV grey/black water servicing facilities where you can legally dispose of your waste on your way home after the Black Rock City event!

This growing network has been in operation since 2007 and has effectively given participants many options for disposing of their event-related trash and recycling. There is a small, yet significant, portion of people who do it wrong and unfortunately leave their trash at locations such as rest stops, RV parks, hotels, convenience stores, or worse — in front of people’s homes. This is a terrible insult to our neighbors and an absolute disgrace to the Burning Man community. It is also illegal, and if you are caught, can result in a $2,000 fine for littering and a run-in with local law enforcement. To be clear, dispose of your waste at these authorized Leave Nevada Beautiful locations or take it all the way home with you.

Beware: While you may encounter other “private enterprises” along the highways willing to take your trash for money, we cannot vouch for their standards of operation. Sometimes these private enterprises do a great job and provide a community service, but some operators have left all of their trash behind at their site after taking your money. No trash should ever be on the ground, it should all be going directly into a dumpster.
